Play for Peace-World Peace Orchestra Performs Sept 10th, NYC

185382World Peace Orchestra is bringing together more than 130 young musicians from 60 countries to Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall for the inspiring and ambitious Play for Peace concert. Featuring a live introduction by Academy Award-winning actor Kevin Spacey, this concert will be led by Lithuanian guest conductor Gintaras Rinkevicius and features world-renowned violinist Alexander Markov and soprano Dominika Zamara. The eclectic, crowd-pleasing program includes music from Beethoven’s Coriolan Overture, Bernstein’s West Side Story, Rimsky-Korsakov’s Capriccio Espagnol, Vittorio Monti’s Czardas and more. The only truly global youth orchestra that combines both classical and ethnic instruments, World Peace Orchestra is a nonprofit organization that assembles young musical talent from around the globe in an annual concert to demonstrate how the unifying power of music can transcend social and cultural boundaries. Emmy Award winner Sade Baderinwa will present the event.
