Nitza Milagros Escalera (Chair)
is a founder and member of the Board of Directors of Pasos Peace Museum. Currently she serves as the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs at Fordham University School of Law where she also teaches a seminar titled, Negotiation and Mediation: A Cross-Cultural Perspective. Escalera also teaches a course on Race and Ethnicity at John Jay College. In addition to her volunteer work with PASOS, Escalera serves on the Mayors Advisory Committee on the Judiciary. She is former fellow of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute and of the Coro Fellow’s Leadership Program. Escalera received an Ed.M. in Peace Education from Teachers College, Columbia University; a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law, J.D.; and M.P.A. from New York University; a M.S. from Syracuse University and a B.A. from Le Moyne College.
